Contact form not getting to my email
If you are not receiving messages from your website contact form, you will need to try a few things to remedy the issue.
Step 1: Incorrect DNS Settings
The first thing is 3plains's needs to double check we have all our settings correct for DNS.
Step 2: Email Configuration
Did 3plains setup your email correctly? Did you setup a alias? If so, did we forward it to the correct email address?
Step 3: SPAM & Junk Mail
Check your SPAM or Junk mail filter for the email with the subject line: "Your Company Name - Internet Request Form". Your company email filter may throttle up the SPAM higher than normal and the contact form email may get caught. So make sure to check your SPAM/Junk filter.
Step 4: Email Relaying
We may have set your email up with an "alias" to another email address. Example: YourName@YourWebsite.Com forwards to YourName@AnotherEmailAddress.com. Do you know if your email provider allows relaying? I would ask your email provider to look into allowing relaying. We don't know how your email configuration is setup since we sometimes don't host your email, so unfortunately we can't explain why email is not getting there. Please read more on relaying here. Explain to your email provider that you have a website and you have a website email form that gets set to "YourName@AnotherEmailAddress.com".
Step 5: 3rd Party Email Provider
A example would be Hotmail.com by nature is very touchy when it comes to forms. Sometimes they deliver it and sometimes they don't.
Step 6: Patience
Wait 5-10 minutes for the form to come in.
