Your Website Address on Outdoor Advertisements

Living in Minneapolis, Minnesota involves driving a lot of driving with the poor transportation system. A person usually spends between an average of 20-50 minutes in the car usually. Since I can get bored if I am not on the phone, obviously I end up looking at advertisements. It never ceases to amaze me how many business owners and marketing professionals have logoed cars, banners, stickers, and so forth with no indication of a web address.

Why Not?

Why would you not have that? Its crazy to think that more people are not including that simple web address. It is only 1 additional line of text. A business without a website CAN look uncredible or a uncredibule business with a website could look credible... whatever you call it.

Vehicles

Web address to people can remember it and jot it down. Who is going to remember a phone number? Make a sticky URL and go with that.

Businesses

I like when I see "Apartments For Lease" with that monster yellow banner with the phone number, but no web address. I RARELY see a sign with a web address. Why not?

Be Creative

Why not even have special promo code on the advertisement where people log onto your website address and type in a code to get a percent off? Make the user do something instead of just calling the old standard phone number.

Conclusion

Consumers are becoming more knowledgeable when it comes to products and services with the web maturing and the number of consumers with computers increasing. As a business, you better be ready to present a quality website, with quality information for users so they can kick the tires a bit and see who you are. Otherwise they may never buy or may never give your business a chance.
